It is important to ensure your staff who have an involvement with VAT, either directly or indirectly, are equipped with the appropriate knowledge to assist them to function effectively. For example, those involved in decisions about capital expenditure need to be aware of the potential impact of major transactions on the Council’s partial exemption position. If nothing else, this will enable them to seek appropriate advice at an early stage.
Likewise, some basic VAT awareness training for those involved in invoice processing can lead to an improvement in the accuracy of VAT coding.
We are able to offer training to your staff at all levels. Like all the services we provide, training courses are tailored to meet the specific needs of your authority and your staff.
Please use our ‘contact us‘ tab to discuss how we can help and to set up an initial meeting, which is both free and without obligation.
We are delighted to announce the return of our programme of specific, targeted, public sector tax courses to be held at the Institute of Directors in London in February 2016. Our team of advisors have been running public sector tax courses for over 20 years and are well equipped to guide participants through the complexities in a relaxed, informal and participative environment.
Each of our courses is a single day and includes lunch and refreshments and is supported by comprehensive training packs. We have designed the courses so that they complement each other and we have ensured that repetition is kept to a minimum for the benefit of participants attending several (or all) of the courses.
