Employer Cost Savings & Employee Benefits
We are delighted to announce that we will be running a Seminar on Tuesday 2 November via Microsoft Teams to help public bodies understand how to attract and retain the best talent and, at the same time, to maximise the significant savings opportunities available, while meeting all compliance obligations.
Reserve your place by emailing email@example.com
At present we are in a jobseeker’s market, where employers are battling over the best talent and have to fill their recruitment needs as soon as possible. Employees have come to demand the best package possible. The area of flexible benefits and salary sacrifice is an evolving one within the public sector and can provide an advantage for recruiting and retaining key talent as well as providing a positive effect on your employees’ motivation and, in turn, their overall performance.
It wouldn’t be a PSTAX seminar without us covering the technical side of employee benefits, so we will spend some time covering:
- The tax treatment of some of the common types of benefits provided
- The tax and NIC implications for employer discount arrangements and rewards such as vouchers
- Reporting requirements, including form P11D, PAYE Settlement Agreements and a brief outline of benefit ‘payrolling’
- The impact of Optional Remuneration Arrangements (‘OpRA’) on salary sacrifice and other benefits where there may be a cash alternative
- The impact of salary sacrifice on the various public sector pension schemes
We will then consider the wider issues of providing benefits in a way that meets employees’ needs to assist with recruitment and retention, as well as leading to cost savings for the employer. Therefore, we are delighted to announce that we will be joined at the seminar by guest speakers from three key providers of employee benefits within the public sector who will each cover their own specific areas of expertise and give us their valuable insight and experience:
- Vivup – providing world-class health and wellbeing benefits to employees
- Tusker – the market leaders for salary sacrifice car schemes, providing their service to many Local Authorities, NHS bodies, Universities and Police and Fire Authorities
- AVC Wise – providing a fully managed solution to facilitate a switch by LGPS organisations to salary sacrifice Shared Cost AVCs
We have asked the speakers to focus on the employer savings and the employee benefits to be gained from their respective offerings.
The event should provide a lively and informative platform for this very relevant and topical issue.
We recommend this Seminar to all PSTAX clients and contacts. It will be highly relevant for staff with responsibilities relating to HR, Recruitment and Reward and also those involved in the administration of benefits in kind.
This on-line Seminar is to be held on Tuesday 2 November, and will start promptly at 10.00am. We aim to finish at 1.00pm.
The cost of a place is £180 plus VAT per delegate. Organisations booking three or more places will receive a 10% discount.
