Richard has been specialising in public sector VAT for over 30 years. Having worked for District and London Borough Councils for a combined period of 21 years, Richard moved to the private sector in 2007, before joining PSTAX in March 2009.

Richard is the Associate Director and Divisional Lead for PSTAX’s Indirect Taxes Team, advising on VAT and SDLT issues for all tiers of local government, public authorities, agencies, and third-sector bodies. Richard is the author of the Town and Parish Councils VAT Guide.

Outside of work, Richard enjoys walking, running, cooking and providing a Dad-Taxi service to his daughters.
