Christine Robinson

Employment Taxes Consultant

Christine has spent over 30 years working in tax and specialises in employment tax, National Insurance, benefits in kind and the Construction Industry Scheme. She started her career in the Inland Revenue in London working first as a PAYE auditor, then later as an Inspector of Taxes. After nine years she left the Revenue and moved to Yorkshire, where she worked for a large independent firm of Chartered Accountants, managing the Employment Tax team and providing advisory services on all aspects of employment taxes for small, medium and large businesses and organisations. She also worked with the firm’s Payroll Bureau, helping to grow and develop this service line during the introduction of RTI reporting and auto-enrolment.

Christine has extensive experience in employment tax and related matters. She is particularly interested in employment status and Off-Payroll Working (IR35) and in payroll-related issues including statutory payments, National Minimum Wage and payrolling benefits in kind.

Outside of work, Christine likes to play with clay, create wonky-shaped mugs and bowls, and grow fruit on her allotment.
