PSTAX Team Walks the Extra Mile for Brainwave!

PSTAX Charity Walk

Last week, the PSTAX team decided to swap our usual end-of-year festivities for an inspiring mission that would push ourselves, make a real difference, and give back to a worthy cause. We embarked on a challenging yet rewarding adventure: a 12.5-mile (alright, closer to 13!) charity walk to raise awareness and funds for Brainwave, a fantastic organisation supporting children with neurological conditions and their families.

A Challenging (but Rewarding!) Adventure

Our walk took us on a scenic and historical adventure. Starting in Market Bosworth, we ventured through historic woodlands towards the renowned Battle of Bosworth Field. The route led us across the heritage Shenton train line, through Cutting Wildlife Walk, following the picturesque Ashby-de-la-Zouch Canal, before we tackled a challenging cross-country trek back.

The weather threw everything at us – rain, wind, and plenty of mud! But the PSTAX team persevered.

Angela Ferguson, Director, and Head of our award-winning Employment Taxes Team (winners of the Best Employment Taxes Team at the Tolley’s Taxation Awards!) shared,

“The team spirit was incredible, and everyone pushed each other to complete the walk despite the bad weather and walking conditions. It was a great way to bond as a team while raising awareness for such a worthy cause”.

Painted Pots and bug houses

Team members unable to participate found a creative way to contribute. They painted and decorated birdhouses, bug hotels, and vibrant planters to be donated to Brainwave’s sensory garden. These thoughtful creations will not only enhance the garden’s aesthetics but also provide a stimulating environment for children with sensory processing difficulties.

Double Your Impact!

The good news doesn’t stop at us successfully completing the walk with no one stuck in the mud! We’re delighted to announce that PSTAX will generously match all donations made via our JustGiving page. This means your contribution, no matter the size, will have double the impact on the lives of children with neurological conditions and their families.
