PSTAX’s Stephanie Leitch Named in Accountancy Age 35 Under 35 for 2025

PSTAX is delighted to announce that Stephanie Leitch, Associate Director and Operational Lead for Indirect Taxes, has been named one of Accountancy Age’s prestigious 35 under 35 for 2025. This esteemed list recognises the brightest young talent in the accountancy and finance profession across the UK.

A Career Dedicated to Public Sector Finance Excellence

With 17 years of experience in public sector finance, Stephanie’s career is a testament to her dedication and expertise. Starting her journey in local authority accounting in 2008, she quickly rose through the ranks at Dorset County Council, where she was celebrated as ‘Young Employee of the Year’ for her work in VAT planning. This early success set the stage for her impressive trajectory.

Joining PSTAX in 2018 as an Indirect Taxes Consultant, Stephanie rapidly became a key leader within the firm. Her talent was recognised internally when she was named Employee of the Year in 2021, and she later earned promotions to Senior VAT Consultant and then Associate Director. Today, she leads the firm’s VAT team, driving both client delivery and internal operational excellence.

Delivering Major Results for Clients Across the UK

Stephanie’s impact is defined by the significant results she has delivered for our clients. Her leadership has been central to major public sector projects, including Local Government Reorganisations in Somerset, North Yorkshire, and Cumbria. She has also led complex VAT reclaim strategies and partial exemption reviews, with one project alone resulting in a £1.5 million saving for a public body. Other key successes include recovering £10 million in VAT for two councils and supporting a police force with a £4 million input tax claim. Currently, she is challenging HMRC on a VAT issue with a potential £2.4 million impact for clients.
